1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396
Built 396 with a 4 Speed Muncie

This is a real SS “138” Car
85% of the restoration has been completed.
The body is in excellent condition, it has has new rear quarter panels installed, as well as a new trunk floor. Paint is OK, but needs a paint job to be a show car. Needs a few odds and ends, like window rubbers and misc. seals.

Many modification/improvements have been made to the chassis. The frame has been tied inboard from the front to the rear for added strength.
It has a 12 bolt Posi rear axle with 3.73:1 gears, Big Ten Axles and 1/2″ Wheel Studs. It has Lakewood Lift Bars on the rear axle, they Greatly Improve Traction, Eliminate Wheel Hop, Improves Road Handling, and Reduces Body Roll.

396ci Big Block Chevy has been professionally built.
It’s bored .060 over, with Truck Rods, ARP Bolts.
It has a Solid Lift Comp Cam #11-218-4 Advertised Duration INT 282 EXH 282 with 110 Lobe Separation, Comp 800-16 Solid Lifters, PEP Stainless Full Roller Rockers, APR Studs. Heads are gasket matched to Intake.

The 4 Speed Muncie Transmission has also been professionally rebuilt, with a Steel Center Support and New Sliders.
